Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to bring to each session?
At WOA Pilates, you are welcome to do your session in bare feet or grip socks depending on your preference. We have grip socks for purchase at the studio as well.
Please bring a water bottle- we have cold, filtered water available for you to refill your bottle. We also offer tea and coffee for all our clients.
We have a changing room available for our clients- so don’t worry if you are coming from somewhere else before your session and you need get changed!
Can I do a session with my family or friends?
Yes! We have a number of clients already who have booked in as a couple or friendship group in a Duet 2:1 session size.
For Duet sessions we can accommodate in any time available for 1:1 Private sessions. Contact us to enquire & lock away a special time that suits you both.
Can I share my pack with my loved ones?
Yes! Work of Art Pilates offers family/couple sharing packs, which enables you to share the package balance with the family members you nominate.
I have never done Studio Pilates before. How do you recommend I start?
At Work of Art Pilates, we have clients from all ages, levels and experience.
We recommend the best way to start is with our Intro Pack that provides you with 3 x 1:1 Private Sessions. This will enable our Pilates Method instructor to check your body posture and muscle strength in order to design a personalised program around you and your needs.
This will also give you the foundational understanding and confidence to choose your next step on your WOA journey (either continuing 1:1 Private or moving to Duet sessions with a family member or friend).
What is the difference between Studio & Mat Pilates?
Studio Pilates includes a full range of apparatus to support your journey, including Cadillac, Reformer, Chair and Barrel. This is best performed in Private or Duet session sizes to ensure tailored personalisation to your individual goals and needs.
Mat Pilates is performed on a mat, giving a strong focus on your technique as you utilise your own body weight and gravity for resistance. This is performed in a Group setting of maximum 5 participants.
If you are wondering what to choose, it doesn’t need to be one or the other, as they are both different! A number of our clients do 1 session of each per week to maximise their Pilates practice.
